Amanda Mitcheltree

     Amanda Mitcheltree of New Castle is the daughter of Scott and Marlene Mitcheltree. Upon graduating from Laurel High School in 2010, she continued her education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where she will be a sophomore this fall. She is currently majoring in Dairy Science with a minor in Animal and Poultry Science. She has been showing dairy cattle at the Lawrence County fair for eleven years and has shown steers for five years. In her spare time, she milks cows at the Bruce A. McConnell dairy farm and scoops ice cream at Mandy Sue’s ice cream store.
